I was very impressed with your effort to re-cycle, re-use, save energy, protect the environment and also providing a popular award winning place to dine. I wanted to follow-up and say a huge "thank-you" to you for the wonderful food and service today at BDP. Our office members thoroughly enjoyed themselves and will certainly be back in the future.
You met all of our requests- there were lots of serving spoons, glasses, tongs, and we loved the large plates, and even the big thick napkins. It's the little things that make a big difference. And the little things sure were evident today.
Sarah and Amanda were amazing today with their service. They were very accommodating and on top of everything. I want to thank you for being so kind and courteous, and please do keep your smile!!

Dear Jarrod, David, Amanda, Chris, Rob, Mandy and outstanding Chefs:
Our 25th Anniversary & Renewal of Vows this past Saturday, June 14th was one of the HAPPIEST DAYS of our lives and Ron & I want to THANK YOU ALL for your professionalism, organization, attentiveness, friendliness and “never ending” assistance to make our day a resounding success.
Ron & I have been residents of Pickering for the past 14 years and The Dog has been our “local” as they say in England. When we decided to plan our big 25th Anniversary/Vows Renewal for this June, we thought of NO OTHER SPOT than our beloved “Dog”. The Cigar Room was just perfect especially with the French doors leading out to the beautiful patio and rock/stone waterfall and pond. A big THANK YOU to Rob for “sweeping” it all nice and clean on the Friday evening for our Saturday afternoon/evening celebration! Also, for cleaning off the patio furniture too
Where do I begin?
Right from sitting down with Jarrod in planning the menu, etc., at the end of April, he was wonderful and his recommendations were “right on”!
When we arrived on the Friday afternoon for lunch, David was so-o-o wonderful, I just can’t say enough! As always, Chris was attentive to our luncheon needs and nothing was too much trouble. SINCERE THANKS TO YOU BOTH 
A BIG PLUS was being able to decorate The Cigar Room later that afternoon. David did the room/table “set up” complete with the maroon/merlot coloured table clothes that afternoon!!!! As our theme was “HEARTS”, they were simply perfect!!! As was the actual tables and chairs “set up”. Also, a big load off my mind was David attending to our floral/balloons delivery that evening. Items that were left in The Cigar Room that evening were “safe and sound” and being the wife of a retired Metro Police Sargeant, this meant a lot to US!!!!!
There was NEVER any doubt that things would not be as we had planned and agreed upon. I say without any trepidation:
“IF YOU WANT IT DONE RIGHT AND TO YOUR COMPLETE SATISFACTION, SPEAK WITH THE OUTSTANDING STAFF (Jarrod, David, Amanda, Chris, Rob, Mandy and Chefs) AT THE BLACK DOG. YOU NEED GO NO FURTHER.”
When we arrived on the Saturday afternoon, the ballons had been placed on the side entrance as requested, and David greeted us in a most wonderful, friendly, professional manner. We had absolutely no anxieties or panic attacks as EVERYTHING WAS DONE as requested. David’s “presence” was so appreciated. He wasn’t “seen” but if we needed anything, he was “right there”!!! Also, Amanda’s attention to our “times” was most appreciated. Timing is everything, right, Amanda?:)
Also, Mandy’s attentiveness was absolutely AMAZING. Her exceedingly pleasant manner and beautiful smile added to our day. Both David & Mandy attended to Ron & I as well as our guests and nothing was too much trouble. They went beyond their calls of duty EVEN to a “special” plate of Prime Rib for a very young and excitable family member  She says “THANK YOU, TOO”.
Mandy was good enough to call our limousine for us when it was time to depart and that was most appreciated too.
Ron & I felt that we were saying “Thank you & Good Night” to two other family members, David and Mandy.
We felt like a King & Queen for the day, Saturday, June 14th, and YOU ALL MADE IT POSSIBLE.
Please God, we are blessed with continued health so that we may return to OUR DOG for MANY MORE wonderful celebrations.
Words cannot and will never be sufficient enough but:
“THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU DEAR JARROD, DAVID, AMANDA, CHRIS, ROB, MANDY & CHEFS FOR MAKING OUR DAY ONE OF THE HAPPIEST AND NEVER TO BE FORGOTTEN”.

I remember the page I gave you, and you hung on the old door to the kitchen (now the wine cooler) regarding bad eyes and the lack of s--. That was a laugh for everyone.
It was a great story on TV and I'm proud to be able to say that "I know them, they care"

I am just dropping a line to thank you all for your part in the success of my fiancés 40th birthday party last weekend.
The food was outstanding, the room/patio was perfect and the staff were over the top.
From the time I first contacted your establishment, to the time that last the guests went home, there was absolute professionalism and incredible friendly service.
My guests were extremely happy and impressed with the whole night, indeed there were many remarks about having further functions there.
